I have Run the Lync 2013 client (basic) on a Windows 7 Pro VM on the same Mac to the same account. I have tried a complete uninstall and re-install of Lync for Mac following KB article on MS Site, including deleting library files and keychain entries - no change. I have tried a different Lync account and the problem persists.
On Skype (including to Lync clients!) but Lync itself has become unusable other than for the most basic text messages. I have checked for network issues and none are apparent (for example ping shows no change when the Lync disconnect occurs). If I am in the middle of an audio call the call is disconnected and I have to reconnect.
